Setting the thread lead

For linear axes it makes sense to set the lead and position unit according to the circumstances in your application. The linear actuators of the PSA56 series are already pre-configured in the production as follows.

Following settings are relevant:

  • The position unit in 60A8. Factory settting for the PSA56: mm*10-5.
  • The velocity unit in 60A9. Factory settting for the PSA56: mm*10-5 per second.
  • The feed constant in 60E9h. This is pre-configured for the PSA56 in subindex 02h in the factory settings according to the thread lead in mm*10-5 per motor revolution..

Example

Write in 60A8h the value "FB010000h" to set the unit to mm*10-5 (factory setting for the PSA56).
Write in 60A9h the value "FB010300h" to set the unit to mm*10-5 per second (factory setting for the PSA56).
Write in 60E9h:02 the value "1016" to set the lead to 1016 mm*10-5 (=10.16 mm) per motor revolution (factory setting for the PSA56).
Note: After a reset of the application data (see Discarding the saved data), you must carry out the configuration again and save it.
