SMCI12 - Stepper motor positioning controller/RS485 or CANopen
New improved running performance
The software-based dspDrive ® current controller ensures optimal running performance at all speeds, in contrast to pure hardware solutions. In addition, the microsteps between the specified clock pulses are now interpolated in the clock directional mode. This ensures that the running smoothness of the high resolution 1/64 microstep can be used even during full step activation. Therefore, the SMCI12 is particularly suitable for CNC and other multiple axle applications.
Flexible inputs and outputs
Motor-related functions such as the limit switch, reference switch, marker, synchronous operation etc., can be read in via the six digital inputs and one analog input on an event- and process-controlled basis. In this way, the motor behavior can be affected directly (start, stop, speed, acceleration etc.), which is additionally supported by the three outputs (also < powers can be connected).
Flow control
Use of the integrated Java-based programming language means that it is even possible to independently regulate and control complete application programs (via the I/O) on a process-related basis without a higher-order controller.
Network-capable / programming
The SMCI12 can be configured and freely parameterized using the free NanoPro Windows software via the RS 485 interface. Multiple modes such as position, speed, clock direction, analog, joystick or flag position are possible. Different acceleration and braking modes such as sine, trapezium or jerk-free ramping can be set, as well as many other machine parameters.
The SMCI12 can be controlled via the CANopen interface with the standard operating modes based on DSP402 speed, positioning, referencing and interpolated mode
low-cost serial solution
The SMCI 12 features rapid commissioning and is a very economical power module for use in series products (the running performance of the motors is significantly improved by the integrated dspDrive procedure). With its range of functions, it provides numerous options that otherwise are only available in bulkier equipment and at greater cost. Because of the integrated ballast circuit, an external capacitor is often not required.
Accessories
The following accessories simplify commissioning and avoid wiring faults:
USB converter: ZK-RS485-USB - converter for connecting the controller to a PC (under Accessories > Converter)
Connection cable ZK-SMCI12, for easy connection of the above-mentioned converter to the SMCI12
Connection cable ZK-SMCI12-3, for easy connection of the SMCI12-3 to a CANopen converter (sub-D9)
Connection cable ZK-XHP4-300, makes connection of a motor with 6 or 8 wires easier
