The ST3518 stepper motor was developed primarily for users who have a restricted installation depth available and where a stepper motor with a construction size of 28 m is too long and a construction size of 42 mm is too big. With the highest possible torque, the ST3518.. stepper motor series offers a high resolution and is deployed with favorably priced power drives for applications in precision device construction. In conjunction with microstep drives of the IMT and SMC(I) series and with the same or even greater resolution of < 0.18°, it constitutes an extremely cost-effective alternative to the multiphase stepper motors.
