The converter cables available here are required for the positioning controls of the SMCIxx series and for all Plug & Drive motors in order to communicate with a PC or a PLC.

- When using notebooks connected to the line supply, detach the power cable before connecting the USB cable as there is a 115 V AC voltage present from the power supply when charging the battery. When plugging in, the DC current would then run via the USB connection and destroy the controller. Repair would no longer be possible.
