Motor production started in China

Nanotec has begun the production of stepper motor-based linear actuators at the new site close to Shanghai (China). All high-quality lathed and milled parts are produced on one of the latest CNC machines. Even the plastic nuts for the currently available trapezoidal spindles and metric threads which were previously purchased can be produced in-house with the aid of a die cast machine.

ST6018_Presse

New addition to the family with 25% more power

The new ST6018 stepper motors from Nanotec have an up to 50 % higher output torque compared to standard Nema 23 motors (56 mm) of the same size. The increase in torque has been achieved by a somewhat larger cross-section (60 mm) while retaining the Nema flange, as well as by an optimized stator geometry and advances in production processes which allow the motor air gap to be controlled with significantly better accuracy. As well as the increase in torque, improved operational characteristics with regard to vibrations, noise and microstep resolution were achieved at the same time.
In addition to the 3 construction lengths with a torque of 1-3 Nm already available, a torque of up to 4 Nm can now be generated with the 100 mm long ST6018D4508. Thus, the ST6018D provides a simple solution for all customers who need more torque in existing applications, but do not have enough space available for the 86 mm size (Nema 34).

Stepper motor positioning controller as plug-in module

The competitively priced and flexible SMCP33 plug-in module that can be integrated in complex device controllers at minimum expense. Thus, even in their own PCBs, the customer can also benefit from the full range of know-how and functionality of Nanotec drive electronics accumulated over the years. In particular, the innovative, virtually noise and resonance free direct control of the end stages via microcontroller in the dspDrive® procedure can be applied in both open and ClosedLoop operation (current control via encoder) with minimum intrinsic development expense.
