DTC
Support » Glossary » D
Direct Torque Control; direct torque control; It allows the closed-loop control of the speed and torque in inverter fed three-phase AC drives.
Unlike vector control, the DTC procedure does not work with a modulator but with a motor model and comparator. Here the values for torque and magnetic flow are recorded at a very high chronological sampling rate. This allows a fast torque control and, with that, an improved speed control or a high dynamic and static speed accuracy.
