A Woodruff keyway offers far higher rotation prevention, especially in comparison to the round shaft, and especially when the system is subject to increased requirements through a change in load and direction.

This machining is possible in all motors of the ST, AD/AS/AP, PD and DB series as well from an order quantity of 25 pieces.

Size of the Woodruff key depending on the shaft diameter:

• 5 mm shaft diameter: DIN 6888 - A 1.5 x 2.6
• 6.35 mm shaft diameter: DIN 6888 - A 2 x 2.6 or A 2 x 3.7
• 10 mm shaft diameter: DIN 6888 - A 3 x 3.7 or A 3 x 5 or A 3 x 6.5
• 14 mm shaft diameter: DIN 6888 - A 5 x 6.7 or A 5 x 7.5 or A 5 x 9

From 100 pieces, considerably more favorable prices barely above the price of the series-wound motor are possible due to series production.
